Lead Product Designer, 2023-2025
Led UX roadmapping, prioritization and planning, including facilitating workshops and collecting, reviewing, and sharing user feedback
Partnered with UX Research to identify, track, categorize, and report to our partners on our most common user pain points in order to surface this work stream as a priority
Planned, facilitated and led several workshops in order to generate actionable improvements based on user research and feedback
Created prototypes (in partnership with UX Engineering, using Figma, and using a vibe coding tool to generate coded and clickable experiences) to communicate ideas, design direction, and to show examples to stakeholders during planning and prioritization discussions
Partnered with the Design Systems team as well as the central Accessibility team on conducting user education research, expanding component offerings, updating specifications, and expanding the resources for all designers and engineers who were designing and building experiences for onboarding and in-product user education
Made sure we communicated these additions / updates widely to the UX and engineering organizations
Wrote design briefs and PRDs to collaborate and communicate the direction and scope of our work, defined metrics and acceptance criteria, reviewed the execution of work, led visual QA and launch review/approvals process
In charge of final go/no go for all UX work before it is launched
Worked directly with front-end and backend engineers to help unblock issues and problem solve during development
Ran accessibility reviews and was responsible for fixing anything out of compliance
Reported metrics to stakeholders, business partners, and updates inputs to organizational health scores
Partnered with UX Researchers to craft, execute, analyze, learn from, and share research findings
Summary of work
This work stream was a comprehensive effort to redefine and enhance the user education strategy for DSF. Recognizing the critical role of effective user onboarding and continuous learning in driving user adoption, satisfaction, and proficiency, this initiative aimed to create a more cohesive, engaging, and impactful educational experience. The project spanned strategic planning, research, collaborative workshops, content auditing, and the design of new educational resources and frameworks.
