I work as a counselor and teacher at the University of Florida College of Journalism and Communication’s Summer Journalism Institute. The five-day camp hosts 100 high school students with an interest in writing, editing, yearbook, photography, video production and web production. I design the tee shirts, name tags, and branding for each year’s campers. I designed these tee shirts for the 2011 camp.
I designed the logo for the Scientific Thinking and Educational Partnership program for the University of Florida’s Institute of Food & Agricultural Sciences. The STEP program is a university-wide multidisciplinary outreach/education program. The STEP model of public outreach combines entertainment and education, through multimedia, to convey science to teachers, students, and the general public. STEP’s main priority is to assist faculty in communicating research to various audiences through various mediums.
